Design & Creative

How design teams embed Figma for live review, Canva for assets, and Loom for async feedback — all on their monday.com project boards.

The workflow: Manage creative projects, review design assets, coordinate between designers and stakeholders, track design system updates.

The problem design teams solve with integrations: Design teams are chronically caught between their creative tools and their project management tools. The actual design work happens in Figma. The project tracking happens in monday.com. The asset delivery happens in Google Drive or Canva. The client presentation happens in Google Slides. Designers end up spending significant time outside their design tools just to update task statuses, share work for review, and coordinate feedback.

The feedback loop is especially painful. A designer finishes a mockup in Figma → updates the monday.com task → pastes a Figma link in the comments → the stakeholder clicks the link → opens Figma → leaves feedback → the designer checks monday.com for the comment → opens Figma → makes the change → updates monday.com. Every round of feedback involves four tool switches.

How design teams use the stack:

Figma embedded on the project board collapses the feedback loop. Stakeholders can view design progress directly from the monday.com board where the project is tracked. Instead of following a Figma link to a separate browser tab, they see the design in context — alongside the brief, the timeline, and the other project tasks. Review meetings happen on the board, with the Figma embed visible to everyone.

Canva serves the production design layer. While Figma handles high-fidelity product and brand design, Canva handles the everyday visual content — social posts, presentation decks, email headers, internal communications. Embedded on the content or marketing board, Canva assets are visible and accessible to the broader team without needing Canva access.

Looker Studio gives design teams something they rarely have: visibility into the impact of their work. A product design team embedding analytics dashboards on their project board can see how a UI redesign affected engagement metrics. A brand team can track campaign performance alongside the creative assets they produced. It connects design output to business outcomes in a way that's visible during the work, not just in a quarterly review.

Loom supports async design reviews. Rather than scheduling a meeting to walk through a design, designers record a Loom video explaining their decisions, embed it on the board, and stakeholders review on their own time. This is especially valuable for distributed design teams working across time zones.
